Multi Bet at baji — the chance for big returns with multiple bets on a single slip

A multi bet means adding two or more selections to a single betting slip, where the odds of each event are multiplied together to create one larger combined odds. At baji, this method is popular among both new and experienced bettors.

How a multi bet actually works

With a regular single bet, you place a bet on one specific outcome in one event. With a multi bet — also called an accumulator or "acca" — you put two, three, or more selections on a single slip. The decimal odds of each selection are multiplied together to create a combined odds figure.

The risk increases too — because all selections must win. If even one loses, the entire bet is void. So a multi bet is primarily an entertainment-based approach, where a small stake creates the possibility of a big return — but it is not a guaranteed source of income.

At baji you can place multi bets across various sports from cricket to football. Those who enjoy cricket betting can pick selections from multiple matches on the same day and build a single slip.

Three odds formats — the same information, expressed differently

Odds on betting platforms are shown in three different ways. Understanding which format equals which helps when working out multi bet calculations.

Decimal

Decimal Odds

The simplest format. 2.25 means you get ৳2.25 back for every ৳1 staked — including your original stake. In a multi bet, these numbers can be multiplied directly.

Fractional

Fractional Odds

5/4 means ৳5 profit for every ৳4 staked. The original stake is added separately. More common in British horse racing.

American

American Odds (Moneyline)

+125 means ৳125 profit on a ৳100 bet. −400 means you need to bet ৳400 to make ৳100 profit. Minus odds are for strong favourites.

Example 1 — Odds on Team A to win (৳200 stake)

2.25 Decimal ≡ 5/4 Fractional ≡ +125 American
If your ৳200 bet wins, you receive ৳450 back (৳250 profit + original ৳200). If it loses, ৳200 is gone.

Example 2 — Team B as favourite (৳200 stake)

1.25 Decimal ≡ 1/4 Fractional ≡ -400 American
If your ৳200 bet wins, you receive ৳250 back (৳50 profit + original ৳200). Minus odds mean lower profit.

A multi bet with three selections — shown in numbers

Say you make three selections across three separate matches. The decimal odds are 1.40, 1.50, and 1.80 respectively. In a multi bet, these three odds are multiplied together:

3-selection multi bet — ৳100 stake

1.40 × 1.50 × 1.80 = 3.78

(Combined odds — approximate)

If all three selections win on a ৳100 stake, you receive ৳378 back. If any one of the three loses, you lose the entire ৳100 stake.

As the number of selections increases, the potential return rises — but the chance of all selections winning together falls. This is the core trade-off of a multi bet.

Some useful tips for multi betting

  • Keep the number of selections limited: Start with 2–4 selections. The more selections you add, the lower the chance of winning all of them. Going beyond 5–6 selections significantly increases the risk.
  • Bet on sports you know: It is much easier to make selections in sports where you know the format and teams — such as BPL cricket.
  • Do not mix selections from the same event: Placing two selections from one match (for example, Team A to win and the first wicket within 20 overs) on the same slip creates mutual dependency and complicates the calculation.
  • Do not pick only high-odds selections: Stacking selections with odds of 3.5+ one after another makes the combined odds look huge, but the chance of any one of them losing is also much higher.
  • Keep the stake small: Allocate less money to a multi bet than you would to a single bet, because the risk is higher. It is best not to exceed 2%–5% of your total bankroll.
  • Avoid emotional changes: Once your slip is set, do not change selections or add new ones at the last moment based on emotion.

Risk and bankroll planning

Multi betting carries risks that are just as high as its attractive returns. A bankroll is a set amount of money kept aside specifically for betting — money you can afford to lose without it affecting your daily life.

Allocate a small portion of your bankroll to each multi bet — generally 2% to 5%. This way, losing one slip will not wipe out your entire budget and you will still have something left to bet with the next day.

Bankroll amount 2% allocated per slip 5% allocated per slip Recommendation
৳2,000 ৳40 ৳100 A good starting point for beginners
৳5,000 ৳100 ৳250 Suitable for casual bettors
৳10,000 ৳200 ৳500 For experienced bettors

These figures are for illustration only. Betting is always for entertainment — not as a fixed source of income. Never bet beyond your set budget.

Common mistakes in multi betting

Adding too many selections chasing a "big win"

Stacking 8–10 selections makes the combined odds look very large, but the chance of winning all of them is very low. In most cases this is simply a way to lose money.

Placing a large bet to recover losses

Placing a big slip after losing the previous one in order to win back losses — this is the most dangerous mistake. Chasing losses always makes the situation worse.

Adding selections from unfamiliar sports

Adding a selection from an unknown league just because the odds look good weakens the slip.

Betting without understanding the odds format

Not knowing the difference between decimal, fractional, and American odds can lead to incorrect calculations of potential returns.

Rushed decisions at the last moment

Quickly changing selections a few minutes before a match starts generally does not produce good results.

Frequently asked questions about multi betting

A single bet places one selection on one event — if it wins, only that one outcome is settled. A multi bet combines two or more selections on a single slip and multiplies the odds of each. If all selections win, you get a big return, but if even one loses, the entire bet is lost.

There is no fixed rule, but experienced bettors advise keeping it to 2 to 4 selections. Beyond that, the chances of all selections winning together drop sharply, even though the combined odds may look attractive.

The calculation is straightforward using decimal odds — multiply the odds of all selections together. For example: 1.40 × 1.50 × 1.80 = 3.78 (approximately). Then multiply the combined odds by the stake to get the total return. ৳100 × 3.78 = ৳378.

Generally yes — you can combine selections from cricket, football, or other sports on a single multi bet slip. However, make sure each selection is from a separate, independent event — it is best not to place two selections from the same match that depend on each other on the same slip.

No, beginners can also place multi bets — but start with small stakes and 2–3 selections. Once you understand the odds format and calculations well, you can gradually add more selections. The key point is that this is for entertainment — it is not a reliable way to earn money.
